So as to enrich the campus cultural life, guide students to develop good reading habits and shorten the distance between students and classic masterpieces, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department of the west campus launched the ‘Water Margin’ knowledge contest during the morning reading lesson on 7th September.
To be specific, this competition was jointly participated by all the students from Grade 8 and Grade 9. There were abundant question types, including ‘Choice Questions’, ‘Fill-in-the-Blank Questions’ and ‘Essay Questions’. The topic of each link was permeated with the introduction knowledge of classic works and traditional Chinese culture. What’s more, contestants changed their identities to ‘Cultural Ambassadors’ who got quite familiar with the common sense of masterwork and answered the questions steadily.
Overall, this contest was in line with the principles of promoting the reading of classics and building a scholarly campus, which not only tested the classic reading course of last semester, but also constituted a platform for knowledge competition, enabling students to cultivate their sentiment and appreciate the unique charm of classic culture in classic masterpieces.
